Gallia County is uniquely situated
between the beautiful Ohio River and the gentle rolling hills of
Southeastern Ohio. It combines abundant natural beauty and a
comfortable living environment, highlighted by the historic and
picturesque City of Gallipolis. Business and industry continue to
thrive in Gallia County, both through expansion and new development.
Transportation facilities offered by the Ohio River, a major
thoroughfare from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the Mississippi River,
along with convenient rail and highway capacity are vital to the
ongoing growth of the Dan Evens Industrial Park. State-of-the-art
medical facilities add another positive aspect to the limitless
opportunity to those looking for the supreme environment to live,
work, and raise families.
The charm of the community,
through the subtle influence of French culture, is obvious when you
wander through the quaint Historic Central Business District and the
beautiful Historic Residential District of Gallipolis. A primary
focus in this community is on education, including the presence of
the University of Rio Grande, Gallipolis Career College, and Buckeye
Hills Career Center. Attention to the importance of the arts
provides an enrichment that is not always available within a
community. Many fine dining establishments grace Gallia County,
including those with a specialty in oriental and Mexican cuisine.
Gallia County truly provides an
unequaled opportunity for business, industry, and social climate to
flourish and succeed.
